Boldly Go appearing on ShirtPunch! on SATURDAY December 3rd! My "Boldly Go" design will be appearing on ShirtPunch.com in early December. It's scheduled for SATURDAY December 3rd, from just $10 for 24 hours it makes a great gift for any Star Trek fan, I'll be buying several for myself. Follow me on Twitter @ChuffyMe and I'm sure I'll mention it. A lot :) Just imagine the words in Shatner's voice with the music and you can't go far wrong. By the way, the over the top lens flare on this promo is a homage to JJ Abrams.

A message from Chuffy - 26th November 2011 I realise just lately I've been advertising T-shirts from fellow artist CoDdesigns quite a bit. So I thought for a change I'd chat a little bit about T-shirt design and why I do it. The first and most obvious answer you're probably thinking is money. "You do it for the money, Chuffy!" Well having people buy my designs is nice and I do get paid for each shirt sold. So I'd be lying if I said it wasn't part of the motivation, but there is more to it than that. I always enjoyed creating things, whether it be drawing, painting a miniature, building something from Lego (best toy ever), crafting something silly from cardboard & duct tape, designing posters, making virtual outfits for computer game characters, doing illustrations for just about anything or just playing with art package for fun. Almost all of these things were for my own enjoyment. So where do T-shirt designs come into this? I like T-shirts with cool, funny or nicely drawn designs on them. My wardrobe is full of T-shirts by many different artists, some of whom I chat with via email and twitter (@ChuffyMe). I just love the work they do and I love wearing their creations. I bet if you asked the majority of the artists on the 24hour T-shirt circuit, you'd find they had drawers and cupboards filled with the work of other artists too. I design printed T-shirts because I enjoy them. And when I think that a few other people in the world go to their wardrobe, pick out one of my designs to wear and enjoy it too. That's icing on the cake. Thankyou :)

We've come a long way (since 64k), baby - 28th July 2011 I've just added another 6Gb of memory to my computer, bought with the money my parents gave me for my birthday last week. The fact that I'm able to type this at all means I didn't do anything wrong. Although now the computer sounds a little different; perhaps because I removed a load of dust that had accumulated in the case since I built it less than a year ago. My first computer had a mere 64kb of memory. The legendary Commodore 64 could maybe just manage to load this web page, assuming the images were turned off. Although I didn't start using paint packages until I had my first Amiga, the A500. Packing a massive 512kb of memory, which I quickly upgraded to 1Mb (again with birthday money I think), it gave me my first digital canvas. Coupled with such amazing tools as a mouse and Photon paint, I was able to create art without the need for a plethora of materials most traditional art requires. So why do I need 12Gb of RAM? It's seems my virtual paint pot can't manage on a mere 6Gb at image sizes that make my first works seem like postage stamps. :)
